Welcome!

Welcome to the Cañon City Public Library's page for the Shared Memories Project!

Thanks to a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation, Cañon City Public Library is partnering with the Pueblo City-County Library District to preserve and share our region's unique history. The Shared Memories Project provides libraries with the equipment and resources they need to digitize local historical collections—from photos and documents to oral histories.

Through this project, community members are empowered to become the historians, bringing their personal and family archives to life online. This site serves as a central hub where you can explore these digitized collections.

We invite you to browse the shared memories of our community and discover the rich, diverse stories that make up southern Colorado's history.
